Professional Career
Will Hurd worked for the CIA as an undercover agent for nearly ten years, mostly in the Middle East and South Asia. Hurd joined the Crumpton Group as a partner after leaving the CIA and contributed to the development of FusionX. He served as an operations officer in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India during his tour of duty.
Hurd received 80% of the vote in the GOP primary in 2018. On January 3, 2015, Hurd was sworn in as a member of Congress. He finished third among House freshmen who passed the most bills during his first term. Hurd is the only Republican who is black and serves in the House. Hurd served as vice-chair of the Homeland Security Committee’s Border and Maritime Subcommittee.
