American television actress and game-show hostess Vanna Marie White is best known for her role as co-host of the game programme Wheel of Fortune, which she has held since 1982. The daughter of Joan Marie (Nicholas) and Miguel Angel Rosich, Vanna was born on February 18, 1957, in Horry County, South Carolina, not far from North Myrtle Beach.
She was reared by her mother, Joan, and Joan’s second husband, Herbert White Jr. (1925–2022), at North Myrtle Beach after her parents split when she was a little child. White adopted the last name of her mother’s ex-real estate broker second husband.
