Okotete, who led NEXIM Bank for five years, has the education, experience, and other qualities to run any export agency in the world. In her several public agency jobs, Okotete, a public administrator and business development specialist, has consistently grown organisations. As Chairman of the House Committee on Education from 2008 to 2011, Okotete managed the State Government Free Education Programme in Agbarho, Ughelli, Orogun, Ogor, Agbarha, Evwreni, and Uwheru.
She also pushed the “War against Loitering and Hawking during School Hours” bye law and handled local government female child education programmes. She chaired the House Committee on Health and co-sponsored the Ughelli North bye law banning female circumcision.
