Vasudev founded his first business, a poultry farm, in Mysore after earning his degree from the University of Mysore.Sadhguru is planning to start a business called Buildaids in the construction sector. He conducted his first yoga class in Mysore in 1983. He started teaching his brand of yoga as he rode his motorbike through Hyderabad and Karnataka. Sadhguru recalls having his first spiritual experience after turning 25 even though he wasn’t raised in a religious family. Sadhguru founded the Isha Foundation in 1992as a platform for his spiritual, environmental, and educational activities.
Project GreenHands (PGH), Rally for Rivers, Cauvery Calling, and Save Soil are just a few of the environmental protection and conservation initiatives that Sadhguru has started through the Isha Foundation. Similar to the “Cauvery Calling” campaign, Sadhguru launched “Rally for Rivers” in 2017 to mobilise public support for river revitalization initiatives across India.In order to draw attention to his ‘Journey to Save Soil’ campaign, which aims to raise awareness about issues with soil degradation and the advantages of using organic matter in farming, Sadhguru rode a motorbike for 100 days from London to India in 2022.
He spoke about “Journey to Save Soil” in May 2022 before the heads of 195 nations at the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification. There are over thirty books written by Sadhguru.
The Padma Vibhushan, India’s second-highest civilian honour, was given to Sadhguru in 2017 in appreciation for his work in the fields of spirituality and humanitarianism.[46][47][48] In the same year, Sadhguru unveiled the 34-meter-tall (112-foot) Adiyogi Shiva statue in Coimbatore, which had been constructed by the Isha Foundation. According to Guinness World Records, this is the bust that is the biggest in the entire world.
