After finishing 1st runner-up at Miss Alabama USA again, she travelled to Salt Lake City in April to compete for Miss Utah USA. As Utah’s first Venezuelan-American state titleholder, she represented the state at Miss USA 2023 in Reno, Nevada. After placing in the Top 20 for swimwear and evening gowns, she joined Hawaii, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin in the Top 5.
After Laura Harring in 1985, Lynnette Cole in 2000, Susie Castillo in 2003, and Nia Sanchez in 2014, she was named Miss USA 2023 by Morgan Romano of North Carolina, becoming the first Venezuelan-American and sixth Hispanic winner. She became Utah’s third Miss USA after 63 years. Her victory qualifies her to represent the US at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador on November 18.
