With injuries creeping in and also the dentin form of a number of T20 World Cup-bound Indian players in the IPL, the Selection Committee along with the Team Management may look to re-shuffle the squad a little bit like the Team India T20 World Cup Squad possible changes can occur till October 15, 2021.
The current 15 men Indian squad selected for the T20 World Cup 2021 is as follows: Virat Kohli (c), Rohit Sharma (vc), KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant (wk), Ishan Kishan (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Rahul Chahar, Ravichandran Ashwin, Varun Chakravarthy, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami
Reserves: Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar
Here are the top three Team India T20 World Cup Squad possible changes that might take place within the stipulated time:
Shardul Thakur: Hardik being unable to bowl even a single over for MI in the IPL is a huge cause of concern for Team India and reports suggest that he might get replaced with Shardul Thakur who is going through a purple patch in his career at the moment. Shardul has taken 18 wickets for CSK in this IPL and has been the main strike bowler for them and also taking into consideration his batting ability, he remains the best possible replacement for Hardik Pandya. Shardul may also replace Ravi Ashwin who has been pretty much off-color in the IPL knowing the fact that India would still be having 4 specialist spin options in their squad to choose from.

Yuzvendra Chahal: Yuzi Chahal, who has been India’s No. 1 spinner in the limited-overs format ever since his debut, was dropped from the T20 World Cup Squad due to his poor run of form in International Cricket as well as in the IPL. But in the UAE edition of IPL 2021, he has been the most impressive spinner among all the franchises and has put a strong claim for his inclusion in the WC Squad. With reports coming on the fitness of Varun Chakravarthy being questionable, he might ease his way straight into the Indian Team as their premier spinner.
Shreyas Iyer: Iyer has been consistent for DC ever since his return from injury in the second phase of IPL 2021 and is a strong contender to replace Ishan Kishan who has been terribly out of form in the recent games. Iyer would be an excellent option to have for Captain Kohli in the middle order and with his experience on the field he might turn out to be an ex-factor for Team India in the World Cup.
