Commonwealth Games 2022 has witnessed the immense success of Women’s Cricket. The craze and support for Women’s Cricket got multiplied by a number of times in CWG 2022. Millions of Indians from all over the world paused to see IND Women Commonwealth Games Live. 

India Women wins Silver

Indian women’s cricket team under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur has done wonders in CWG. India received Silver Medal after a close defeat to Australia in the Final.

India Women started their CWG 2022 campaign against Australia Women. The two finalists met each other in the inaugural match of the tournament. The match went down to the wire where Australia Women held their nerves and displayed their batting depth to defeat the Indians.

The India Pakistan rivalry was comfortably made one-sided by Indian women with their outstanding performance. The Barbados Women also couldn’t pose a fight infront of the mighty Indians.

The Semi Final against England Women was pretty close though. The hosts were one of the heavyweights of the tournament and displayed some great cricket in the mega semi final. But all fell short infront of the determined Indian troup who are on a mission to taste glory.

In the Final, India gave a great fighr chasing 162 and losing both the openers quickly. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur played a brilliant 65(43) run knock but in a losing cause. India fell short by 9 runs.

Top Indian Performers in CWG 2022

Superstar Smriti Mandhana looks to own this tournament with the highest runs from India, that too at a very high strike rate. Jemimah Rodrigues played a ‘gem’ of an inning against England Women that took India through to the finals. Pacer Renuka Singh Thakur has been the find of the tournament so far. The ‘Queen of Swing’ is making the new ball talk upfront and turning life into hell for opposition batsmen.

Deepti Sharma, as always has shown her all-round skills throughout the tournament. Her bowling performance of 1-18 in 4 overs proved to be match winning for India. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has also shown glimpses to be in good form.
