British businessman, pilot, explorer, and space tourist Hamish Harding (born 24 June 1964) was based in the United Arab Emirates. In addition to being the chairman of Action Aviation, he founded Action Group, an international aircraft brokerage firm with its main office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Harding served as the mission director and crew pilot for the flight mission One More Orbit from July 9 to July 11, 2019, which broke the previous record for the fastest aeroplane circumnavigation of the Earth via both poles.
Five other people, including renowned French diver Paul-Henri Nargeolet, Stockton Rush, the CEO and founder of OceanGate Expeditions, Mr. Shahzada Dawood, famous businessman and his son, Suleman Dawood, were with him aboard the Titan that underwent tragic underwater explosion, as suspected and the crew found dead.

The first regular business jet service to the Antarctic was launched in 2017 by Harding and White Desert, who used a Gulfstream G550 to make an ice runway landing on Wolfs Fang Runway. Harding made multiple trips to the South Pole as well, joining Buzz Aldrin in 2016, who at age 86 was the oldest person to reach the pole.
In an effort to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing, Harding and Terry Virts led a group of pilots to break the previous record for the fastest round of the globe in a Gulfstream G650ER from 9 to 11 July 2019 (46 hours, 40 minutes).
At NASA Kennedy Space Centre in the US, the One More Orbit mission was launched and landed at the Shuttle Landing Facility (Space Florida). The mission’s director, Harding, oversaw a group of more than 100 people.
Harding and Victor Vescovo broke the records for the largest length traversed and the greatest duration spent at full ocean depth on March 5, 2021, when they descended in a two-person submarine to the Challenger Deep, the Mariana Trench’s deepest point, at a depth of 36,000 feet (11,000 m).
On June 4, 2022, Harding launched into space on the New Shepard rocket’s sixth space mission as a part of the suborbital Blue Origin NS-21 mission.
In September 2022, the Indian Government and the Cheetah Conservation Fund in Namibia (CCF) launched the reintroduction of the cheetah to India initiative. Harding’s aviation company Action Aviation provided a tailored Boeing 747-400 aircraft to carry eight wild cheetahs from Namibia to India. Since India’s independence in 1947, cheetahs are no longer found there. The Explorers Club classified this conservation initiative as a “flagged expedition,” and Harding and Laurie Marker, the CCF’s founder, carried the flag on the flight to India.
