The hit song “Away” from Ayra Starr’s self-titled debut extended play reached number four on Nigeria’s TurnTable Top 50 chart for two weeks in a row and peaked at number 17 on the Billboard Top Triller Global chart. This helped to establish her as a household name early in 2021 and pave the way for the release of her debut full-length mixtape, 19 & Dangerous (2021).
