Career:
In New Delhi, he later joined the Act One and Sambhav Theatre Groups. He won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1995 for the movie Drohkaal. He relocated to Bombay (now Mumbai) in 1992. In his debut movie, Sardar, which was based on the life of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, Ashish portrayed V. P. Menon. However, Drohkaal, his debut film, earned him a National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1995. Additionally well known for his portrayal of Ashutosh in 1942: A Love Story. The Star Screen Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role went to Ashish.In more than 300 films. He is a co-founder and curator of the interactive modules for organisations called Avid Miner Conversations. As a theatre performer, Ashish began his career. He participated in plays by several Indian theatre companies, including Prithvi Theatre, Act One Theatre, and Ekjute Theatre Group
